You've reached Part 3 in this series! Now that you have a shortlist of bands you may want at your wedding, you can begin to think about the specifics. This guide will help you navigate the finer details of confirming which band you want.
Check Availability
Contact the bands on your shortlist to verify their availability for your wedding date. This is a crucial step to avoid any disappointment. This is where good planning in advance will help you! Often the most popular bands will book up fast, so if you find out availability as soon as possible, you’ll be in with a great chance of booking your dream band.
Meet The Band
If possible, arrange a quick call with the band's representative. This is an opportunity to gauge their professionalism and get a good sense of the people that will be a part of your day. It’s also always nice to put a face to the name! When we are first contacted by our couples, we tend to arrange a video call to find out if we'll be a good fit for them, discuss their preferences and answer any of their questions.
Enquire About Song Requests
If you have specific songs in mind for your first dance or other special moments, check to see if the band can accommodate these requests. Lots of bands include a first dance request in their packages but some don’t so it is important to check this. Here at Supertonic, both our Gold and Diamond packages contain at least one bespoke song request.
Once you have established who you want to go with, now is the time to get a full quote and book your band! Check out Part 4 of this series to see how to finalise the live music at your wedding.
